Ray Kroc was a perfectionist who said that he was more serious about the hamburger business than anyone else. From the beginning, he promised that McDonald’s would always provide friendly services and high-quality food at low cost in a clean restaurant. Ray Kroc called this corporate spirit of McDonald’s QSC&V(Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value) and it is to this day the core value of McDonald’s.
Quality means cooking with the best ingredients, through a strict cooking and food preparation method that ensures food safety, as well as great tasting products. The goal of McDonald’s is to offer high quality products at low costs.
We serve high quality food according to our own strict quality standards. McDonald’s places the utmost priority on quality and has constructed a quality management system.
Cleanliness is an important part of McDonald’s, and began with the first ever McDonald’s opened by Ray Kroc. Cleanliness means providing a clean and refreshing space and facilities, from the kitchen to the lobby, restrooms and parking lots.
McDonald’s partner, McKey, which processes the patties disassembles every utensil down to the smallest bolt and cleans and dries them every morning to maintain cleanliness. Restaurant employees have to wash their hands every 30 minutes, and have to check on cleanliness by the hour. As well,
McDonald’s employs a thorough system of using different hygienic goods such as gloves while cooking depending on the ingredient. McDonald’s crystal clear commitment to cleanliness has played an important role in making McDonald’s a leader in the global QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry.
Quick and kind service was the foundation for the success of McDonald’s. Our goal is to provide service that exceeds customer expectations. We train our restaurant crew to think from the perspective of customers, and give them responsibilities and authorities accordingly.
In particular, we offer faster and more convenient services through ‘Made For You.’ a kitchen system that offers fresh and hot food to customers by preparing the meal as soon as the order is made.
