McDonald's brings the 'Taste of Korea',
supporting local farms and enhancing burger flavor

"McDonald's Korea is introducing distinctive tastes from various regions through the 'Taste of Korea' project and is providing differentiated tastes and high-quality ingredients. It is launching local menus, such as the Changnyeong Garlic Burger, Boseong Green Tea Pork Burger, Jindo Green Onion Cream Croquette Burger, and Jinju Pepper Cream Cheese Burger, while coexisting with local farmers through these initiatives. These burgers have sold over 24 million units and are contributing to the local economy by sourcing more than 800 tons of domestic ingredients. In addition, McDonald's Korea uses locally sourced ingredients, including lettuce, eggs, and chicken, and sources over 17,000 tons of these ingredients annually."
A restaurant for everyone, without leaving anyone behind

McDonald's Korea has introduced height adjustable kiosks for customers using wheelchairs since 2018. Starting in July 2024, we also introduced kiosks with voice guidance devices for the visually impaired across all company-owned stores nationwide, becoming the first in the domestic QSR industry to significantly improve accessibility.
Visually impaired customers can connect their headphones to kiosks and receive voice guidance throughout the ordering process — including menu items, prices, and calorie information. In addition, McDonald’s Korea has installed Braille blocks on the floors of all company-owned stores and marked table numbers in Braille to support its Table Service. A call button is also available for customers with disabilities to request staff assistance.

The Happy Burger,' a burger not on the menu
"The Happy Burger is a social contribution campaign that McDonald's Korea has been running since 2013. The activity delivers messages of gratitude and support to firefighters, medical staff, and vulnerable groups in our community. To date, we have donated approximately 250,000 burgers, leading the way in spreading a positive influence in the local community.
Recently, McDonald's has been actively expanding Happy Burger campaign in cooperation with local children's centers when opening new stores.
In recognition of McDonald's continuous support and efforts since the agreement with the National Fire Agency for 'The Happiness Burger Campaign' in 2018, McDonald's received the certificate of appreciation for '2022 Firefighter Treatment Improvement Support' and '2022 Seoul Volunteer Merit Award.
